Dr. Samantha Nazareth is passionate about educating patients and consumers on how food and environmental factors affect gut health. She advocates for a balanced lifestyle that includes diet, sleep, movement, and stress management to support overall well-being. A dedicated traveler, she explores wellness and gastronomy practices globally, bringing unique insights into health and culture. As Chief Medical Officer of metaMe and a consultant for health tech companies, she champions technologies like AI and IoT to personalize healthcare and enhance accessibility.

Early Education/Medical Training

Dr. Nazareth’s path to gastroenterology began after her mother’s diagnosis of colon cancer. Initially interested in surgery, she shifted her focus to gastroenterology. She went on to graduate from the only combined baccalaureate-MD program in the Ivy League at Brown University, and subsequently completed her residency in Internal Medicine at New York City’s #1 ranked hospital, NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. From there, Dr. Nazareth pursued further study and training in both Transplant Hepatology and Gastroenterology at world-renowned NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center.
